Whole & Happy Relationship Coaching

When we bring our whole selves into our relationships, we allow the natural state of happiness to be the background of the relationship. That doesn’t mean there won’t be difficult times or that we’ll always “feel happy.” It means that in the midst of the conflicts and challenges that every relationship faces, we’ll be able to continue showing up authentically and let go of stories around being unhappy because of other people.

relationship coachingIn Whole and Happy Relationships, we can feel:

  • Heard and held
  • Respected
  • Open and communicative
  • Fearless to share what’s difficult
  • Trusted and trusting
  • Free to express emotions safely
  • Interdependent… not codependent
  • Able to choose how you want to participate
  • Willing to see the highest benefit of all people involved
  • Committed to common goals and values
  • Free to shift or transition the relationship when necessary
  • Full of gratitude and Unconditional Love

This is a learning process. Maybe you experience some of these things in your relationships – all relationships, not just intimate ones – but notice that some are missing. Maybe you’ve hit a wall in your current intimate relationship and want to find new ways to hear each other without getting defensive. Maybe you have a desire to transition a relationship into a different kind of connection and need some support in communicating that with kindness and patience. Each relationship is perfectly unique, and yet there are common themes that become challenges in relationship because of the pressures and stresses of living in the 21st century.

Is this only for people in relationships?

Not at all! I love working with people individually – whether they are currently in intimate relationships or not – to discover the patterns you bring into relationships and allow you to start approaching dating and sharing intimacy with another person as a whole person. If you want to be happy in yourself and bring that happiness into relationship, then Whole and Happy Relationships is for you.

What if my relationships are complex or nontraditional?

Great! I’ve been in polyamorous relationships for nearly a decade and love to help people maneuver the complexities of multiple connections with more ease and grace. Or maybe you’re thinking of opening up your relationship for the first time and want some support in making that transition. In Whole and Happy Relationships, there is no standard of how your relationships structure should look. We work with how you’ve chosen to create your life and help you bring the most authentic you into your chosen relationship structures. We can also look at what you’ve chosen thus far and see if other options might be worth exploring.

Do you work with LGBTQ+  folks?

Yes! As a queer person, I grew up exploring the intricacies of being authentically expressive about my sexuality. I can help you work through unresolved social or family challenges of being an LGBTQ+ individual, meet the pressures you might feel to be someone else, and help you feel more at home in your skin. Self-Love and acceptance, uninhibited personal expression and speaking your truth could be practices we work on together. Or maybe tools around dating, being in long-term relationships, or helping to understand your partner(s) better. There is no one-size-fits-all human, or relationship. I’m excited to know YOU, where you come from and where you want to go in your personal and relationship growth.

If I have a partner, should we come together?

I’m happy to work with couples or individuals within partnerships, so it’s completely up to you. If you think the challenges are coming from areas you need to personally open and find new awareness, then working one-on-one might be the better way to start working together. If you are looking for tools to hear each other better, enhance honest communication, or improve how you react and respond to each other, then coming together would be more beneficial. Why Whole and Happy Relationships?

Becoming conscious in relationships is a path that asks us to get real with ourselves and how we live in the world every moment. When we sign up for Whole and Happy Relationships, we learn to explore unconscious aspects of ourselves, which invites an increased awareness of ourselves, how we connect with those around us, and how to cultivate loving, supportive, and passionate relationships. Juicy side effects may include empowering your sexuality, preparing yourself to find your perfect partner, and/or deepening the intimacy and spark with your present partner(s).

What do sessions look like?

I create a safe, confidential space of sharing, guidance and education for my clients to explore what’s alive for them and help uncover what’s in the way of feeling whole and happy in their relationships. That might look like sharing, guided meditation, role-playing, breathing techniques, hatha yoga, bodywork, visualizations, dialogue, and/or direct feedback. Each session is 2 hours, giving us time to dive in deeper than traditional mind-based therapy and unpack what’s trapped in the body, emotional awareness, mental practices and opening the heart.

From sessions, you can expect to:

  • Connect more authentically with yourself and others
  • Reclaim your unique expressive self
  • Break through blockages to empower your choices
  • Communicate more directly and compassionately
  • Uncover fears and shadows that hold you back from having the most fulfilling relationships
  • Hold space for your partner(s) and be able to hear them without reacting
  • Discover and ask for what you need in relationship
  • Lower anxiety, worry, stress, and mental triggers, replacing those with relaxation, centeredness, rest, and self-care
  • Feel more balanced, empowered, grounded, and uplifted, both on your own and with others

My personal experience:

I am passionate about Whole and Happy Relationships because bringing more and more consciousness to my own relationships has transformed my life. As the path has unfolded before me, many new relationships have come out of the woodwork and continue to surprise me with what new aspects of myself they uncover. Living these values has drastically changed and helped how I relate with my family, friends, lovers, and partners. I am more grounded when I feel triggered or defensive. I can speak my truth while clearly and kindly expressing my needs and desires. And I’m able to use my conscious and unconscious mind to manifest what I actually want, not the repetitive, habitual thoughts that used to keep me stuck.

What people have experienced…

“Building a relationship with Grace this past year and a half has changed my life. From our first conversations, she saw the parts of my life that weren’t happy and offered her own story and yoga practices to empower me to reach what I actually wanted. As we got to know each other better, Grace pushed me to work through the issues that came up in my life, to strive for more happiness. She gently helped me see patterns I had that I could change, if I realized them and decided to break them. She also helped me see how to focus on the positives in a relationship and to continue to be honest about where I am. Above all that, her constant reminders to be mindful of where I am and what I feel have helped me be able to take a step back from any negative emotions or experiences and realize that it’s just an experience and I can keep going with awareness.” – Heather, Texas

“Every time I connect with Grace, I come away feeling a renewed sense of joy, clarity, and support. She has this wonderful ability to remind us of our own power with very few words and that, coupled with her grounded presence and the way she leads with her heart makes her a great coach and a wonderful leader. She is truly a light and I would recommend her to anyone.” ~ Caitlin, Seattle

“Grace is a deeply committed practitioner. She has made the sacrifices and taken the risks for her path. It shows in her gentle, compassionate, powerful presence. She meets students where they are, and spots them as they climb to the next level, physically and spiritually. Grace has helped me pivot my own life. May you find your contact with her equally transformational.” ~Ben, Seattle

“About a year ago I realized I had been closing my heart off, just to survive – to avoid dealing with or feeling pain. Now I am well on the path to living with a more open heart and to uncovering my heart again.” – Una, South Korea

“I felt so close and safe with you.  Thank you.” – Cat, Seattle
